Emily & Ryan | Hiking and Urban Engagement Session | La Crosse, WI

If you’re looking for a stunning backdrop for your engagement photos, look no further than Emily & Ryan’s recent scenic bluff-top session overlooking the city of La Crosse, WI. The adorable couple had shared that they both enjoyed spending some of their time together hiking in the bluffs surrounding the bustling community and so we knew we wanted to incorporate some of those activities when we came together to capture memories of their time leading up to their November wedding.

After starting at a small, bluff-side park in La Crescent, MN, the couple traveled over to downtown La Crosse for a few urban looks before moving to the breathtaking views atop the bluffs. From the sweeping views of the horizon, to the lush greenery of the surrounding landscape, their bluff view engagement session was a wonderful complement to their beautiful love story.

The couple’s attire was perfectly matched to their personalities and each other. With Emily beginning the session wearing an adorable white floral sundress that complimented Ryan’s white dress shirt and provided an amazing bright ensemble.

Later, the couple moved to more traditional evening attire with Emily donning a blush colored blouse to coincide with Ryan’s t-shirt and jeans look as the couple headed onto the hiking trails as the sun began to escape the day.

Overall, the evening was so much fun for us as Emily & Ryan’s easy-going personality is so inviting that you don’t want the evening to end. We cannot wait for their wedding later this year!
